Custom foot orthotics
Custom foot orthotics are shoe inserts made for your feet. They are one option among several, and we recommend them when your assessment shows they are likely to help.
- Starts with
- A biomechanical assessment and gait analysis
- Made from
- A 3D scan of your feet
- Ready in
- Typically 2 to 3 weeks

How it works
- Assessment: we look at your feet, how you walk and your footwear
- 3D foot scan: a precise scan of your foot shape and arch
- Prescription: we choose the materials and design for your feet and activities
- Fitting: we check the fit in your shoes and explain how to break them in
- Follow-up: we check how they feel and adjust if needed
Insurance
Many extended health plans cover custom foot orthotics. Some plans ask for a doctor's prescription or a gait analysis report, so it is worth checking your plan before your appointment. You receive itemized receipts to submit to your plan.
