Common signs

  • A bump or soreness at the base of the little toe
  • Pain along the outer edge of the foot when walking
  • Corns or calluses on the outside of the foot
  • Shoes that rub or feel tight on the outer side

How we help

We check where pressure lands on your foot, how your foot rolls when you walk and how your shoes fit. Your plan may include wider or softer footwear, padding to take pressure off the sore area, care of corns and calluses, and orthotics when they are likely to help.

See your doctor first if

The pain began after a twist or fall, or you cannot put weight on the foot. Visit your family doctor or an urgent care clinic so a fracture can be ruled out.
