What to expect at your first visit

Booking is easier when you know what to expect. In 30 minutes, we get to know your feet, explain what we find in plain language, and make sure you leave with a clear next step.

What happens

  • Getting to know you. Tell us what is bothering you, when it started, what you have tried, and what you would like to get back to doing. We also ask about your health and any medications.
  • A careful look at your feet. We check your joints, muscles, skin and nails, along with circulation and sensation.
  • Watching you walk. If indicated, a gait analysis shows how your feet move with each step, which often helps explain where the pain is coming from.
  • A 3D foot scan, when it helps us plan your care or make custom foot orthotics.
  • A clear next step. We explain what we found and talk through your options, and you go home with exercises and handouts. If you would like to start treatment the same day, we can.

What to bring

A few things help us make the most of your visit:

  • The shoes you wear most, for work and for activity
  • Any orthotics or insoles you use now
  • A list of your medications
  • Your extended health plan details
  • Shorts or loose pants, so we can see how your legs and feet move
